The Artist on Vacation project aims to showcase the diverse legacies of radical art that have evolved in different countries and contexts. The project displays an effort to bring together all activities aimed at connecting historic avant-garde aspirations in a single place and present them directly to the public outside the institutional framework.
The Artist on Vacation project has two key strongholds - one is a rethinking of the in-depth professional qualities of art, and the other is the affirmation of that art within everyday life.
The author of the project is Marinko Sudac. The Institute for the Avant-Garde Research is a platform that integrates the activities of the Virtual Museum and the Marinko Sudac Collection which he founded in 2010. The Institute executes the Artist on Vacation project consecutively since 2012, in collaboration with Valamar Riviera d.d.
