The Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art is marking the 100th anniversary of the birth of the prominent Croatian artist Ivan Kožarić with the exhibition To Fly into the Ether or Stay on Earth. The exhibition opens more than a year after Kožarić's installation Stack of Hay was temporarily set up next to Rijeka's Korzo, on the eve of the opening of the European Capital of Culture. Selected works in this exhibition explore the artist's sense of nature, from a child-inspired admiration for the world around him to works and processes in which sculptural and philosophical thinking of space are intertwined.
