The monograph of the GORGONA group (Josip Vaništa, Julije Knifer, Ivan Kožarić, Marijan Jevšovar, Đuro Seder, Dimitrije Bašičević Mangelos, Radoslav Putar, Matko Meštrović i Miljenko Horvat) is a result of long-term research which is presented with this all-encompassing and clear show of collective and independent work of the group's members,
On 760 pages and with over 1600 reproductions, the monograph gives facts on the context of the group's founding, the local and international setting, it looks the joint activities (the "Gorgona" anti-magazine, collective works, exhibition in "Studio G") and put focus on each individual group member. The monograph explores the "post-Gorgonic" period and in the end gives a comprehensive chronology connected with the activity of Gorgona and its members from the 1950s to today. The monograph contains diagrams which show certain segments of the group's surroundings and works, and the publication comes with an enclosed copy of the "Gorgona" (2012) documentary film, made by the Croatian National Television, with collaboration of the Museum of Contemporary Art, Zagreb, and Marinko Sudac Collection.
The foundation of the Gorgona book are the text by prof. PhD. Ješa Denegri, with additional texts by the art historian Ivana Janković and the artist Željko Kipke, with excepts from historical and experts' texts.
