The documentary film "Other Line" is a result of a long-term research of the Neo-Avant-Garde cultural and art scene of the late 60s and 70s of the 20th c. in Novi Sad, which was, until today, marginalized. During its short and productive life, under the patronage of the Tribina Mladih (The Forum of the Young), the home of the Neo-Avant-Garde of Novi Sad, this artistic movement was directly connected to the then art centres of ex-Yugoslavia, but also with the international artistic developments (7e biennale de Paris, September 1971, 19th Berlin International Film Festival). The state apparatus intervened with force, magazines were banned, people were taken from official positions, films were banned, the protagonists were put on trial, and two were sentendeced. How is it that the retrograde mechanism of shutting down and removing the most creative and representative progressive impulses of our surrounding is still so current to this day?
